أعرب سعد سمير، مدافع الفريق الأول بالنادي الأهلي ومنتخب مصر، عن حزنه العميق للغياب عن مباراة المنتخب المصري المصيرية أمام تونس، مساء الأربعاء، وقبلها مباراة الفريق أمام السنغال.

وقال سعد سمير، في تصريحات لقناة النادي الرسمية: «كنت أتمنى التواجد مع المنتخب في تونس، ومساعدة زملائي في هذه المباراة المهمة».
وأوضح سمير: «لابد من تحقيق الفوز على المنتخب التونسي الليلة لرد الاعتبار للجهاز الفني واللاعبين، كما أن الفوز مهم حتى لو لم نتأهل، من أجل استعادة الثقة لهذا الجيل من اللاعبين».
