الملايين من السكان ينزلون الشوارع، حاملة الطائرات، وسفينة هجوم برمائية للمساعدة، مشاهد التقطتها عدسات كاميرات المصورين، والتي تظهر بدء عملية التنظيف الضخمة للأضرار التي ألحقها إعصار «إيرما» بولاية فلوريدا الأمريكية، وسط تحذيرات من أن 10 آلاف شخص قد يضطر إلى ترك منازلهم للأبد

ووفقا لصحيفة «نيويورك تايمز» الأمريكية، فإن عاصفة إعصار «إيرما» الاستوائية، بدأت تضعف باقترابها في اتجاه شمالي فلوريدا وجورجيا.

الصحيفة الأمريكية ذكرت أنه حوالي 12.5 مليون نسمة أصبحوا دون كهرباء، وسط ارتفاع في درجات الحرارة يتعدى 35 درجة مئوية، الأمر الذي يمكن أن يستغرق أسابيع قبل أن يتم تصليحه.

وتتوقع الصحيفة أن درجات حرارة المرتفعة في الأيام المقبلة يمكن أن تعوق جهود إعادة البناء في فلوريدا، وسيضاف إلى ذلك عدم وجود تكييفات للهواء.

وخرج الملايين من اهل فلوريدا من كل أنحاء الولاية لتنظيف الأضرار التي لحقت بالإعصار «إيرما»، في الوقت الذي وصلت فيه حاملة الطائرات «إبراهام لنكولن» وصلت إلى «فلوريدا كيز»، في الطرف الجنوبي من شبه جزيرة فلوريدا بين خليج المكسيك والمحيط الأطلسي، حيث تقطعت السبل بحوالي 10 آلاف شخص أصبحوا لاجئين.

كما أرسلت البحرية الأمريكية سفينتي «يو أس إيه جيما» و«يو أس أس نيويورك» للمساعدة في جهود البحث والإنقاذ، وتحلق طائرات الهليكوبتر فوق المنطقة لمسح الضرر.

ولقي 11 شخصا على الأقل مصرعهم في كل من فلوريدا وجورجيا وكارولينا الجنوبية نتيجة إعصار «إيرما». واجتاحت العاصفة الطرق والرافعات المغطاة وابتعلت الشوارع ودمرت الأسطح والمنازل. وأخطر ما يقرب من 7 ملايين شخص بمغادرة منازلهم في أوامر إجلاء إلزامية أو طوعية.
